Autumn

Have you ever stopped to think, that life for us believers in Christ, are a lot like trees? Rooted deep, able to withstand changing seasons and storms, needing daily fuel and nutrients from God, some trees droop, some fall, some colorful, but ALL remain strong and secure.

So this season, just as I feel like I’m losing everything to my health, Jesus reminds me of the beauty of the trees, specifically trees in this season of Autumn.

I am reminded as the leaves fall from the tree, that even through loss, we too, can stand tall waiting for better days to come. Yet even as tree leaves change color and fall, there’s beauty to be found in the midst of it, just like there is beauty to be found in the ashes of broken health.

So no matter what season you may find yourself in, just know it’s beautiful and God has you with a firm grip that will not let go. Even seasons of loss can be beautiful if rooted in Him! May our own life’s shedding be beautiful and radiate Christ just like the changing colors of leaves shed in autumn. May we see the beautiful in the broken and our toughest of seasons being redeemed and used for the glory of God alone! May we find beauty in God’s creation and savor every last second of every season. And most importantly may our roots be rooted deep on none other than Christ and His Infallible Word.

Soli Deo Gloria!
